Facebook changes company name to Meta
Recently, Facebook has been going through a lot of changes. From the time they introduced their new timeline to when they recently announced that it’s changing its name from “The Facebook” to just “Facebook,” it seems like the company is always making a change that affects users in some way or another. Some people are happy with these updates, and others are not so much, but one thing is for sure: Facebook will continue to make changes as long as people are using their service.
Facebook is changing its company name to Meta, and the social media site will also be updating its logo. This change comes after Facebook had an unsuccessful attempt at creating a new platform called ‘Atlas’. The goal of Atlas was to develop a way for advertisers to connect with consumers across multiple devices.
The current CEO and founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, said he believes that this change will help them expand the network’s reach. He also stated that they hope this move “helps more people stay connected with the people, places, and things they care about”.
Mark Zuckerberg has been working hard on making changes for his company lately; in May, he announced he would be giving 99% percent of his shares away within his lifetime!
